And off they went...

Well, they went ahead and did it...even though I told them not to. I now have a child in High School!! I can't even write it without thinking this must be someone elses life. No way am I old enough to have a high schooler....and one in junior high!!
Here are my cute girls this morning enjoying some pancakes before school.

They both received beautiful blessings from their dad the night before so I am comforted that they will have a wonderful, enjoyable school year.
Brianne was so excited to start junior high. She was so giddy, it was so cute. She has tons of friends that all live close by. Her best friend Courtney is in her first 5 classes, how lucky is that??
Jessica is a little hesitant about going to Clearfield High School. All of her close friends are going to Syracuse HS and that has been really hard on her. Hopefully she will meet a lot of new friends and have a great year!

Fishing with Papa

A couple weeks ago my dad took us fishing at East Canyon Reservoir. It was one of the highlights of our summer. We left at 7 in the morning and left Jessica and Bri at home because they had babysitting jobs. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast! Rachel caught 6 fish, you couldn't wipe the smile off of her face or Papa's because he was so proud. Brooke caught 2 fish and Nathan caught one.

Rachel catching her first fish

We packed a lunch and just enjoyed a nice, quiet, relaxing day.....then it was time to head home....and take naps!
Thank you Papa for an awesome day! My kids will remember that forever!

School days, School days

Rachel and Brooke started school on Monday August 11th. (Yes, year Round school stinks!)Rachel is in Mrs. Simmons 4th grade class and Brooke is in Mrs. Adams Kindergarten class. Brooke is loving going to school. Just about everyone in the neighborhood with a kindergartner is in her class, so she is very happy.
Rachel has a lot of friends in her class too, and she is adjusting to having to do homework again and go to bed at a good time...even if Brianne gets to stay up later!

The day after Brooke had her testing she had her first "real day of school." She didn't want her mommy there! We went outside to take a picture of her and her best friend Rachel that lives next door had on the same shirt and denim skirt! No, it was not planned and we thought it was so cute. If they were in junior high we would of changed clothes so fast. But kindergarten, it's cute....so of course we had to take pictures!!

I can't get enough!!

I love this movie so much! I have seen it twice and would go again in a second. The first time I went with Jessica and Brianne. We had so much fun singing and dancing! On Saturday it was my moms birthday. My sisters and sister in laws all took her to go see it. It was so fun! I can't keep still in my seat! Thanks to Monica for the cd so I can listen to it constantly in the car, in the house, in the shower.... My kids love it too. Brooke will hear the song Mamma Mia start and we dance to it and sing as loud as we can!

If you haven't seen it yet, get out of your shell and go right now.....hurry! Go!

By the way: go with girls, leave the hubby at home for this one, it is just more fun!

Girls day out

This is my kind of day with the girls! Shopping, lunch and lots of sun...
Theron takes the kids and does fun educational things, sorry not for me. We had so much fun at the Gateway. Back to school shopping and lunch at California Pizza. Thats my idea of a fabulous, bonding day! We of course had to get a slushee because it was so hot!
for those of you who have been to the gateway, you probably know about the fountains. Well, this was our first time playing in them. It was hilarious, a guy started talking over the loud speaker and all the kids started screaming, so we couldn't hear what he said. So, Bri, Rachel, and brooke followed all the kids to the middle of all the fountains. Music started playing, it was neat. Then, (I wish I had a picture of her face) Brianne looked at me like "what is the big deal???"
When all of a sudden every fountain when off full force. I lost it I was laughing so hard! My kids were expecting to get wet...but not soaked!
I was crying I was laughing so hard! Then of course there was Jessica who didnt want to get wet or she would melt like her mommy! So, we just sat back and watched and enjoyed our slushee!

Dinosaur Park with dad

Theron planned a day at Dinosaur Park with the kids. I was able to stay home and have a quiet house for a few hours while they were gone. (It was wonderful!)
They had tons of fun and then we met at Costa Vida for lunch after they were done seeing all the dinosaurs. How true is this sign....

I think Nathan for sure had the most fun! The girls really enjoyed it too and loved watching Nathan enjoy the day.

July 4th in Port Angeles

Our family goes to Port Angeles, Washington for every fireworks season. Theron has been doing fireworks stands since he was 14 years old with his family. It is a fun family tradition that he loves to bring us up for and continue the fun memories. We had 4 stands this year that did really well. Jessica works at a stand also. Rachel caught the firework bug too, and helped many customers. Here are Therons brothers Shawn and Tyson. They have so much fun every year doing fireworks. It is a great bonding time for them! Here is Rachel and her cousin Marion. They are always together and having fun!And of course you will always see Brianne and her cousin Jolyn by eachothers side, fun memories I was able to let my kids and some of the cousins go see some of the sights of Port Angeles. I love the ocean and to let the kids play in it was wonderful. The weather was in the mid 60's while we were there which is pretty nice for PA. We stay at Therons brother Shawns house while we are there which has a deck that looks out at the ocean. It is so relaxing...

Goofy Theron and Tyson Brianne and Rachel got to see their good friend Jaycee and do fireworks.
Nathans favorite thing to do was the snap its. He was so happy if he had his own box.

Julie got married! Yahoo!!!!

Yeah!! Julie finally found her Prince Charming. Julie met Justin while working at Tai Pan, He is a manager there. They flirted with each other for quite awhile before they started dating and getting more serious. He is such a cutie and just adores Julie and her boys. It is so good to see her happy again and in love.

I was lucky enough to go shopping with her for her wedding dress! It was so much fun. She found a beautiful one at Kathleens in Kaysville.
Julie and Justin got married on June 25th at my sister Heathers backyard. It was such a beautiful wedding! She looked absolutely gorgeous and she couldn't wipe the smile off of her face. The sweetest part was her boys walking her down the aisle and then she kissed them both when they got to their chairs. I was crying so hard I made that embarrasing crying noise...you know what I'm talking about. Julie said she heard me, how sad! I just love her so much and was so happy for her, then to see her boys and Justin waiting for her, it just was too much! How gorgeous is this cake... Brianne and Jess got to serve cotton candy to the guests, they had a blast!
